Pimping is dope! Or very un-dope… I haven’t decided yet. I’ll let you be the judge:
I guess it depends on what exactly is getting pimped and who’s doing the pimping… An example of good pimping was when Estée Lauder decided to upgrade the formula of their Advanced Night Repair serum to make it even better and more efficient. And another great example of pimping done right is Revlon’s new Super Lustrous Lip Gloss. The brand recently changed the formula of the original Super Lustrous Lipgloss to make it more comfortable and longer-lasting. Are you ready to discover what changed exactly? Grab your cane, your fur coat and your pimp hat and quickly continue reading to find out!
The new formula of the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss contains vitamin E and avocado oil to nourish and protect the lips. I often apply a bit of lip balm under my lipstick or lip gloss to prevent my lips from getting dry, but with the new Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss I don’t have to anymore. The gloss is moisturizing enough on its own, even now that the temperatures are dropping and the weather is becoming less and less lip-friendly. Perfect!
The new formula is also lighter. Have you ever worn lip gloss that was really thick and gooey and that kind of felt like jam on your lips? Of course you have. Annoying, huh, when your lips get all sticky like that? Luckily the new Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss isn’t anything like that. It’s very light, it doesn’t feel sticky and it stays put quite well without leaving lip prints on everything and everyone you touch. Well done, Revlon!
Not only the formula but also the packaging of the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss got revamped a bit. Revlon even changed the applicator of the gloss for a faster and smoother application. I never tried the original Super Lustrous Lipgloss so I can’t compare this new version to the old one, but it seems like Revlon really thought of everything and I find this new Super Lustrous Lipgloss very easy to apply.
And the colors? Very cute! There are seven new shades in total: Super Natural (glossy nude), Kiss Me Coral (shimmery coral red), Snow Pink (pale pink with lots of sparkle), Pinkissimo (candy pink with lots of shimmer), Pink Pop (a glossy raspberry shade), Berry Allure (a glossy berry shade) and Fatal Apple (shimmery apple red). I’m personally don’t like the super shimmery shades on me, but I do like the glossy ones a lot, especially Kiss Me Coral and Berry Allure. Overall very good pimping, Revlon!
The new Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss is available at Manor and other specialized retailers for 15.90 CHF.
