Did you know that the average woman eats between 1.8 and 4 kilos of lip products in her life? Yikes! I was definitely surprised when I heard this. The first thing that went through my mind was: ‘Oh boy, that can’t be healthy, all those chemicals in my body’ followed by: ‘Shit, I wonder how many extra calories I’ve taken in like that.’ One thing is for sure: it’s a good idea to use natural lip products, because who knows what effect parabens, sulfates and other chemical ingredients can have on our health. The people at Burt’s Bees know that, and that’s why all the brand’s products are 100% natural. Today I am showing you three completely natural Burt’s Bees lip products. Bon appétit!
Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Petunia
I like tinted lip balms, so I wasn’t surprised when this Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm stole my heart. The creamy formula glides over your lips like butter and deeply nourishes them. I usually reapply lip balm every hour or so, but this Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm really stays on for hours, impressive. I can really tell that gives my lips a good moisture boost. And the hint of soft pink and the lovely sweet smell are two great extras.

Burt’s Bees Lip Shine in Flutter
I have tons of lip balm and I also have plenty of lip gloss in my stash, but this Lip Shine was new to me. The product gives, as you can tell from its name, lots of shine and a hint of color. A subtle soft raspberry pink color, in the case of Flutter. The finish of the Lip Shine is glossy. ‘Well damn, that’s gonna stick’ was my initial thought, but I was wrong because the Burt’s Bees Lip Shine doesn’t feel sticky at all. It does make my lips feel very smooth which makes me want to constantly rub them together. But luckily that doesn’t affect the wear of the Lip Shine, because no matter how often I rub my lips together, the shine and the color don’t disappear. And the lovely fruity scent also lingers. Good!

Burt’s Bees Lip Gloss in Evening Glow
The Burt’s Bees Lip Gloss in Evening Glow has everything you would expect from a good lip gloss. It adds lots of shine, has an intense color, and the hint of shimmer in the formula adds a little bit of sparkle to your lips. Evening Glow is a pretty red shade with a subtle sparkly effect. I do find the lip gloss the hardest to apply of all three lip products. The thick texture is a bit stubborn and the product doesn’t really cooperate, so it takes me a while to get my kissy lips ready with this gloss. And like with all lip glosses I have to touch up regularly and I leave lip stains everywhere – I’d make CSI’s job so easy if I were a criminal – but that doesn’t bother me.
